For groups of fifteen to thirty persons, Newark International Airport offers free Educational Tours highlighting the history of the airport, typical terminal operations, and specialized emergency equipment. Tours are designed for students in grades 3 through 12 and are operated year-round for School and Camp Groups. 

There is much to learn at an airport, and a tour can be well incorporated into many history, social studies, and science curricula. Students get an insider's view on what it takes to operate a modern airport, and how an airport prepares for emergencies of all types, with personnel and equipment ready to respond with just seconds' notice. 

Teachers and group leaders will be hard pressed to find a student who will not devote his full attention to what is being taught.
