Called "One of America's most interesting, most informative vehicle museums," the Museum of Historic Vehicles exhibits more than 75 rare and unusual vehicles. One very special aspect about the collections is that while vehicles come from all time periods, they come from only one region -- Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Visitors can see vehicles from wagons to horseless carriages predating automobile manufacturing right up to today's high-tech marvels.

All types of vehicles are represented here, including horse-drawn, gasoline, steam, and electric. Children's vehicles, carriages and sleighs can be enjoyed. Naturally, all vehicles are in mint condition and are quite beautiful to behold.

Southeastern Pennsylvania actually has quite an impressive automotive history. This is not a widely known fact, but visitors will learn a great deal about "Fleetwood," and auto pioneers Charles Duryea, George Daniels, and other undiscovered giants of the early auto industry who built cars in this region.

Topping off the vehicle exhibit is the Gallery of the American Automobile, featuring 100 beautiful color plates by Clarence Hornung documenting the birth of self-propelled vehicles from 1853 to 1915.

Families and groups alike are welcome and will surely find the visit to be an eye-opener, not to mention a pure pleasure. Tours are Self-Guided, but groups can arrange to have a Guided Tour led by a docent who can answer all questions. There are no specific School Programs, but a Tour certainly fits the bill for an education in history, design, transportation, etc.
