The Neuberger Museum of Art is a major visual arts center and vital cultural resource for the campus community and area residents. The 78,000 square foot facility houses over 5,000 works of art in various media. Comprised mainly of works from the collection of art patron, Roy R. Neuberger, the permanent collection on display includes works of modern artists such as Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Willem de Kooning, Georgia O'Keefe, and many others. It also includes an extensive collection of African art, featuring masks, carvings, sculpture, and other objects of both ceremonial and daily use.

The permanent collection also encompasses Constructivist, Dada, and Surrealist works, as well as contemporary photographs and works on paper.

Each year the Museum presents over twelve changing exhibitions ranging from intimate glimpses into the work of one artist to provocative thematic views of contemporary art. Varying in style from realism to abstraction, to installation and performance art, presentations will eventually satisfy all tastes, from conservative to the outrageous. This is definitely one impressive museum, and anyone interested in or studying art is encouraged to visit.

The Museum offers Self-Guided and Guided Tours for groups of adults and children. And special School Programs and tours for grades pre-K through 12 cover a range of subjects to introduce students to the arts and humanities. Call for details.

It's a beautiful place, professionally operated, and will give one and all an experience to remember.
